Indians are greener

  • According to GREENDEX survey conducted by "National Geographic", Indians tops amongst 17 countries.
  • CO2 emission in India is only 1 ton per capita as compared to world's 4 ton.
  • Power Consumption in India is 631KWH per capita as compares to world's 2707KWH.
  • In India people use earthen material for construction in rural area.
  • Use of recycled material like steel, aluminium, ceramic etc is more in India as compared to other countries.
  • Indian consume less water per capita.
  • Indian consume less red meat as compared to most of the other countries in the world, according to a report by Livestock (2006) animal farms for food are water incentive and responsible for GHG and water pollution.
