Going green for kids room:

Imbibing sustainability in our life style has become vital requirement to keep ourselves healthy, save planet and our future. In today’s and age it’s imperative to have kids think and practice organic living from the day one. The easiest way to empower kids with the knowledge of living green is having their surrounding Organic and Sustainable, which include three “R” (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) concepts and also more and more use of natural products in their surroundings. Here are few tips to make kids room green 1. Use of CFL or LED bulbs instead of incandescent bulbs. 2. Use of natural non-toxic, pesticide free material for mattress, pillows, comforters. 3. Use of less VOC material in walls, furniture and as a room freshener. 4. Use of organic rugs or eco-friendly floor materials like bamboo, reclaimed wood. 5. Use of eco-friendly furniture: Eco-friendly or sustainable furniture here I mean by material, design, multi-use, reusability etc. For an example having a trundle bunk bed in kid’s room, the combination of trundle and bunk bed can be used longer time even kids grow old; pop-up trundle bed can also be converted to full size/king size bed whenever required for their friend's sleep over or even for guests. Obvious and known use of trundle bunk bed is saving of space, there are other benefits once kids share rooms like saving of energy, they enjoy company of sibling and learn to share!
